Who is Yahweh?
Yahweh is the name, in Hebrew, that many Bibles show as "the LORD" or "God". -YHWH
Yahweh is the Creator.

Why do we say "Yahweh", instead of "God" or "Lord"?
The word "GOD" or "LORD" are pagan name that were placed in the King James Version of the Bible to replace the true name of our father  "Yahweh".

Some say that the reason why the King James Bible does not use "Yahweh" is because His name was so sacred that the pronouncing of the Name was prohibited, and there considered unutterable.  Evidence of this is the "Dead Sea Scrolls".

The same goes for His son Yahshua (yah-HOO-shua), not Jesus, which also contains our Father's name :

Yah-weh = Yah-shua

Since there in no letter "J" or "V" in ancient Hebrew, the Tetragrammaton YHWH was altered to JHVH.

  • The sacred name occurs in Genesis about 156 times; this frequent occurrence can hardly be a mere prolepsis.
  • Gen., iv, 26, states that Enos "began to call upon the name of the Lord [Yahweh]", or as the Hebrew text suggests, "began to call himself after the name of Yahweh".
  • Jochabed, the mother of Moses, has in her name an abbreviated form Jo (Yo) of Yahweh. The pre-Mosaic existence of the Divine name among the Hebrews accounts for this fact more easily than the supposition that the Divine element was introduced after the revelation of the name.
  • Among the 163 proper names which bear an element of the sacred name in their composition, 48 have yeho or yo at the beginning, and 115 have yahu or yah and the end, while the form Yahweh never occurs in any such composition. Perhaps it might be assumed that these shortened forms yeho, yo, yahu, yah, represent the Divine name as it existed among the Isralites before the full name Yahweh was revealed on Mt. Horeb. On the other hand, Driver (Studia biblica, I, 5) has shown that these short forms are the regular abbreviations of the full name. At any rate, while it is not certain that God revealed His sacred name to Moses for the first time, He surely revealed on Mt. Horeb that Yahveh is His incommunicable name, and explained its meaning.

***** Note that Joshua = Yoshua or Yahshua because there is no "J" sound in Hebrew. The letter "J" is only about 500 years old and isn't even found in the original 1611 King James version.

The four letters YHWH (pronounced Yahweh) were inspired by God's Holy Spirit to appear in the Old Testament over 6,800 times. Then why can it not be found in our common English versions except where it appears in an abbreviated form at the end of the word Hallelu-YAH?

Hebrew names can be translated; they make a statement, such as, Yahshua = "Yahweh is salvation". The word "Jesus" does not deliver the message that Yahweh is salvation. [and, of course, "Jesus" was never actually his name.]

Here are some questions that most people ask us about our beliefs.

Some Why's

1. Why do we worship Yahweh (God)?
Thou shalt worship Yahweh, (the Lord thy God) and him only shalt thou serve. (Matthew 4: 10)
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seekth such to worship him. Yahweh (God) is a spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
(John 4:23 - 24)

2. Why do we often stand to sing and worship?
And the Levites.. stood up to praise the Yahweh (Lord God) of Israel with a loud voice on high.
(II Chronicles 20:19)
After this I beheld, and lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; and cried with a loud voice, saying Salvation to Yahweh (our God) which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. (Revelation 7:9 10)

3. Why do we open our service the way we do?
Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
( Psalms 100: 4)

4. Why do we clap our hands?
O clap your hands all ye people; shout unto Yahweh (God) with the voice of triumph.
(Psalms 47:1)

5. Why do we lift our hands?
Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
(Psalms 63:4)
Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless Yahweh (the Lord)
(Psalms 134:2)
I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
(I Timothy 2:8)

6. Why do we have audible praise to Yahweh (God)?
By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to Yahweh (God) continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.
(Hebrews 13:15)
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a perculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praise of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
(I Peter 2:9)

7. Why is singing and musical instructments a part of our worship?
the whole company of his disciples in their joy began to sing aloud the praises of Yahweh (God) for all the great things they had seen.
(Luke 19:37)
Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet: praise Him with the psaltery and harp. Praise Him with the timprel and dance. Praise Him with the stringed instruments and organs. Praise Him upon the loud cymbals: Praise Him upon the high sounding cymbals.
(Psalms 150:3 5)

8. Why do we sing choruses as well as hymns?
And be not drunk with wine, wherein in excess, but be filled with the spirit speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your hearts to Yahweh (the Lord).
(Ephesians 5:18 19)

9. Why do we pray and sing in tongues and in English?
For If I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
(I Corinthians 14:14 15)
Let the word of Yahshua (Christ) dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to Yahweh (God).
(Colossians 3:16)

10. Why do we dance unto Yahweh (the Lord)?
And David danced before Yahweh (the Lord) with all his might,
(II Samuel 6:14)
Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing.
(Psalms 30:11)
Let them praise His name in the dance, praise Him with timbrel and dance.
(Psalms 149:3 see also Psalms 150:4)

11. Why do we have this type of worship?
Yahweh (God) is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.
(John 4:24)
For we are the circumcision, which worship Yahweh (God) in the Spirit, and rejoice in Yahshua ( Jesus Christ) and have no confidence in the flesh.
(Philippians 3:3)

12. Why does the whole church pray at once for specific needs?
And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice with one accord, and said, Yahweh (Lord), Thou art Yahweh (God), which has made heaven and earth
(Mark 16:17 18)

13. Why do we pray for the sick and lay hands on them?
by whose stripes ye were healed.
(I Peter 2:24)
And these signs shall follow them that believe; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
(Mark 16:17 18)
Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the congregation (church); and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of Yahweh (the Lord): And the prayer of faith shall save the sick; and Yahweh (the Lord) shall raise him up
(James 5:14 15)

14. Why do some people fall out when they prayed for?
While being ministered to in the presence of Yahweh (God) through the Holy Spirit, a person may fall backward to the ground as the power of Yahweh (God) fills and surrounds them with great force. This is sometimes referred to as being slain in the spirit.
(John 18:6, Acts 9:4, Revelations 1:17)

15. Why does the minister sometimes call out of the congregation specific persons or needs to pray for?
This is a gift of a word of knowledge, one of the gifts of the Spirit found in I Corinthians 12:8. This gift is a supernatural revelation by the Holy Spirit certain facts in the mind of Yahweh (God).
Examples: (John 4:29, Acts 9:10- 12, 10:9- 20)

16. Why do we receive tithes and offerings?
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in my house, and prove me now herewith, saith Yahweh (God) of hosts, if I will not open you the window of heaven and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
(Malachi 3:10)

17. Why do we have speaking in tongues and the interpretation of those tongues in the congregation?
Wherefore, brethren, covert to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.
(I Corinthians 14:39)
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal To another divers kinds of tongues.
(I Corinthians 12:7, 10)
I would that ye all spoke with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues. Except he interpret, that the congregation may receive edifying.
(I Corinthians 14:5 )
If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most three, and that by course, and let one interpret.

But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
(I Corinthians 14:3)

19. Why do we prophesy?
Because of the inspiration of the Father to give direction and purpose to His people, through the mouth of the prophet or prophetess.
(Amos 3:7 , Jeremiah 7:25)
Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.
(I Corinthians 14:1)

20. Why should my manner of worship be important?
Thus have ye made the commandment of Yahweh (God) of none effect by your tradition.
(Matthew 15:6 )
in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shallhaving a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
